OSHA Regulations
Department of Labor, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 Par. 1, Industrial Trucks, Operator Training, December 1, 1998
This new rule states "Operators must be trained and authorized to operate powered industrial trucks." OSHA later clarified this by stating, "training and evaluation
must be conducted by persons who have the knowledge and experience to train operators and evaluate their competence."
